1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using Dash Dating's speed dating event management platform ("Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.

2. Description of Service

Dash Dating provides a digital platform for organizing and managing in-person speed dating events. Our services include:

• Event creation with venue details, capacity limits, age ranges, and dress code
• Shareable event registration links with automatic waitlist management
• Digital check-in with automatic table number assignment
• Event phase management (registration, check-in, dating, matching, completed)
• Post-event mutual matching — participants pick who they'd like to see again
• In-app messaging between mutual matches only
• Block and report tools for participant safety

3. User Accounts and Eligibility

3.1 Age Requirement

You must be at least 18 years old to use our services. By using Dash Dating, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.

3.2 Account Responsibility

Dash Dating uses passwordless authentication (email magic link, Sign in with Apple, or Sign in with Google). You are responsible for keeping access to the email address or third-party identity provider you use to sign in, and for the security of the device on which your account session lives. Notify us immediately if you suspect any unauthorized use of your account.

3.3 Accurate Information

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating your account and participating in events.

4. User Conduct

4.1 Acceptable Use

You agree to use Dash Dating in a respectful and lawful manner. You will not:

• Harass, abuse, or threaten other users
• Share inappropriate, offensive, or illegal content
• Misrepresent your identity or create false profiles
• Spam or send unsolicited messages
• Attempt to circumvent our safety features
• Use the platform for commercial purposes without authorization

4.2 Event Conduct

When participating in speed dating events, you agree to treat all participants with respect and maintain appropriate behavior.

5. Event Organizer Responsibilities

If you are organizing events through Dash Dating, you agree to:

• Provide accurate event information and descriptions
• Maintain a safe and respectful environment for all participants
• Handle participant data responsibly and in accordance with our Privacy Policy
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
• Honor refund policies and cancellation terms you establish

6. Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

7. Communications and Notifications

7.1 Authentication

Dash Dating supports three sign-in methods: email magic link (one-time password), Sign in with Apple, and Sign in with Google. We do not use traditional passwords. By creating an account you consent to receive any authentication emails necessary to use the method you choose, and to the identity verification performed by Apple or Google when you choose one of those options.

7.2 In-App Messaging

Our platform provides in-app messaging between mutual matches only. Messages are plain text with a 2,000 character limit. You agree not to use the messaging system to harass, spam, or send inappropriate content. Either party in a mutual match may block the other at any time.

7.3 Reporting and Moderation

You can report another user or a specific message from inside the app. We aim to review and act on reports of objectionable content within 24 hours of submission. Actions may include warning the reported user, removing content, suspending the account, or permanently banning the user. Reports of urgent safety concerns can also be sent to hello@dash.dating. If you believe you are in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first.

7.4 Push Notifications

With your permission, we may send push notifications for event updates, new messages, and match results. You can disable push notifications through your device settings at any time.

7.5 Email Communications

By creating an account, you consent to receive essential service emails, including:

• Magic-link sign-in emails (only when you choose the email sign-in method).
• Transactional notifications about events you've joined: registration confirmations, event reminders, match results, and new messages from a mutual match.
• Customer support responses.
• Critical platform or safety notifications.

We do not send marketing email to daters.

8. Pricing and Payment

8.1 Event Pricing

Dash Dating charges event organizers a flat per-event fee. Current pricing is published on our pricing page. There are no setup fees, no subscriptions, and no per-attendee fees.

8.2 Payment Processing

For v1, event fees are invoiced directly by Dash Dating to the event organizer outside the app. We do not currently process payments through the platform, and the app does not collect payment-card or banking information. When we add integrated payment processing, this Section will be updated and you will be given advance notice.

8.3 Refund Policy

If an event is cancelled before any daters have registered, the event fee is fully refundable on request. Once daters have registered, refund eligibility is at our discretion based on the circumstances — contact us at hello@dash.dating.

8.4 Free for Participants

Dash Dating is free for event participants (daters). Daters are not charged any fees by Dash Dating to register for events, make picks, view matches, or use in-app messaging. Event organizers may, separately and outside the platform, charge daters a ticket price for the in-person event itself; any such ticket arrangement is between the organizer and the dater and is not facilitated or processed by Dash Dating.

9. Intellectual Property

Dash Dating retains all rights to our platform, including but not limited to software, design, trademarks, and content. Users retain rights to content they create, but grant Dash Dating a license to use such content for platform operation.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

Dash Dating is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. We are not responsible for the actions or behavior of users on our platform.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dash Dating shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses.

12. Account Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend accounts that violate these Terms or engage in inappropriate behavior. You can delete your own account at any time from inside the app (Settings › Delete Account); see our Privacy Policy for what happens to your data on deletion. If you can't reach the in-app option for any reason, you can also email hello@dash.dating.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of any material changes via email or through our platform. Continued use of Dash Dating after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

15. Apple App Store — Additional Terms

If you obtained the Dash Dating app from Apple's App Store, the following additional terms apply. Where they conflict with anything else in these Terms, these additional terms control with respect to the App Store version of the app.

• Parties. These Terms are an agreement between you and Dash Dating only, and not with Apple. Dash Dating, not Apple, is solely responsible for the app and its content.
• Scope of license. The license granted to you is limited to a non-transferable license to use the app on any Apple-branded products that you own or control, as permitted by the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, including the Family Sharing or similar rules described there.
• Maintenance and support. Dash Dating is solely responsible for any maintenance and support services with respect to the app. Apple has no obligation whatsoever to furnish maintenance or support services.
• Warranty. Dash Dating is solely responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied by law, to the extent not effectively disclaimed. In the event of any failure of the app to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) for the app to you. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple will have no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the app.
• Product claims. Dash Dating, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app or your possession and/or use of the app, including but not limited to: (i) product liability claims, (ii) any claim that the app fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement, and (iii) claims arising under consumer protection, privacy, or similar legislation.
• Intellectual property rights. In the event of any third-party claim that the app or your possession and use of the app infringes that third party's intellectual property rights, Dash Dating, not Apple, will be solely responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of any such claim.
• Legal compliance. You represent and warrant that (i) you are not located in a country that is subject to a U.S. Government embargo, or that has been designated by the U.S. Government as a "terrorist supporting" country; and (ii) you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
• Third-party beneficiary. You acknowledge and agree that Apple, and Apple's subsidiaries, are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and that, upon your acceptance of these Terms, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary thereof.
