May 19 release: post-event stats, ghost detection, and a friendlier home

Most of this release is about closing the gap between what happens in the room and what shows up on your phone afterward. Daters leave with stats and a quick way to review the night. Hosts see registrations live, get notified when their bucket fills, and can spot the matches that went silent instead of turning into a conversation.

For daters

• Post-event stats. After every event you now see how many people you crossed paths with, how many you picked, how many picked you back, and a scroll-tinted header that ties it to that specific night.
• Home tab: Live, Upcoming, Past. Your active event jumps to the top during the night. Future RSVPs sit in the middle. History at the bottom.
• Event detail consolidated. Status, primary action, and What’s Next now live in one card instead of three competing for your attention.
• Per-resource icons + colors. When a host adds a menu, a dress code, or an FAQ to their event, you see it with the right icon and accent color — not just a generic link.
• Become-a-host card. If you’ve been thinking of running your own event, the event detail page now has a card pointing you to the host flow.
• Matches list polish. Magnifying-glass affordance on each match, plus an age · hometown subtitle so you can place who’s who from the night.
• Quick reviews after the night. A short, optional review form so you can tell the host what worked.
• Faster public RSVPs. Public event RSVPs (the link your host shares) now use a Universal Link magic-link that hands off cleanly into the app — no more bouncing through a browser tab.

For hosts

• Ghost detection. Mutual matches that go silent — nobody sends a message within 48 hours of chat opening — now get flagged on your dashboard. Helps you see which matches actually turned into conversations versus which ones quietly died.
• Matching monitor polish. A clearer real-time view of pick activity while matching is open — how many daters have made picks, how many haven’t, how long they’ve got.
• Notify when the bucket fills. Push notification the moment your registrations hit capacity, plus a heads-up when a cancelled dater rejoins.
• Reviews on your dashboard. The quick reviews daters leave show up on the host dashboard so you can spot patterns across events.
• Live / Upcoming / Past split on Home for hosts too. Same split as daters — your active event jumps to the top during the night.

Across the board

• Animated nav-tab and notification-bell icons (small, but they make the app feel alive).
• Onboarding: autocorrect off on name fields, numeric keypad for date of birth.
• Re-register flow on event detail if you cancel and change your mind.

Why we built this

The hour between matching close and chat opening was a trust gap. Daters didn’t know what just happened — only whether they got a match. Hosts didn’t know who to chase, who to celebrate, or whether the night actually worked. Post-event stats and the matching monitor both came out of that gap.

Ghost detection is for the host who wants to know what happens after matching closes. A mutual match where neither person ever sends a message is a failure mode worth seeing — useful when you’re tuning your event format or deciding who to invite back.
